Wheelhouse Visions
Between the partners of Wheelhouse Ceramics we have a combined teaching experiences of over 30 years.
Clay and Ceramics has been a popular medium of art and craft. It has gained mainstream audience acceptance in the past decade. We see this as an opportunity for us not only to utilize the skills that we possess as teachers and artists, but also an opportunity to differentiate us from other facilities in the Austin area.
We are the types of teachers who are also active artists. We maintain our own body of work, which stimulates us as teachers to learn continuously through our own processes. We also have a track record of students' testimonies that our above and beyond ways of teaching have allowed them to develop deeper connections to the material and the medium.
With the development of Wheelhouse Ceramics we plan to enable more students with bigger studio spaces, multiple class rooms, more storage spaces for work in progress, and ample amount of open studio hours for students to grow at their own pace.
